Root vegetables and sausages

A sunny winter on your plate: Sautéed root vegetables and sausages a la plancha!
Who said plancha was only for summer? Warm up your winter evenings with this colourful, gourmet pan-fried dish. The root vegetables, roasted to perfection on the plancha, will bring sweetness and flavour to your dish.

Ingredient
- 500g mixed root vegetables (carrots, turnips, parsnips, rutabaga) cut into pieces
- 4 Frankfurters or Toulouse sausages
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 sprig fresh thyme
- salt and pepper
Preparation
- Preheat your griddle.
- Brush the root vegetables with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Grill them on the plancha until tender and slightly caramelised.
- Meanwhile, grill the sausages.
- Serve hot with fresh thyme.
Tips
Add new potatoes for a more complete dish.
Serve this pan-fried dish with mashed celery or pan-fried mushrooms.
