A sunny winter on your plate: Sautéed root vegetables and sausages a la plancha!

Who said plancha was only for summer? Warm up your winter evenings with this colourful, gourmet pan-fried dish. The root vegetables, roasted to perfection on the plancha, will bring sweetness and flavour to your dish.

 

For 4 people

Ingredient

  • 500g mixed root vegetables (carrots, turnips, parsnips, rutabaga) cut into pieces
  • 4 Frankfurters or Toulouse sausages
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 sprig fresh thyme
  • salt and pepper

 

Preparation

  1. Preheat your griddle.
  2. Brush the root vegetables with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Grill them on the plancha until tender and slightly caramelised.
  4. Meanwhile, grill the sausages.
  5. Serve hot with fresh thyme.

 

Tips

Add new potatoes for a more complete dish.
Serve this pan-fried dish with mashed celery or pan-fried mushrooms.
